USAID Tackles The Burden of NON-Communicable Diseases in Europe and Eurasia Region

 According to the World Health Organization (WHO), by 2025 NON-Communicable Diseases will be the single leading cause of mortality and morbidity in every region of the world. In Europe, NCDs account for nearly 86% of deaths and 77% of the disease burden, putting increasing strain on health systems, economic development and the well-being of populations.
